Baby Bjorn potties for the right price

Friday, January 30, 2015

I decided to go with a Baby Bjorn potty for Ava because it's more simple, and easy to clean. I impulsively bought Braxton one of those Fisher Price singing potties back in the day and ugh, so many crevices make me cringe at all the germs.  I like the higher back on the Bjorn but they also come without a back. There are loads of colors to choose from too.

Now there are two places that I found with the best deals. You can either go through Target, and they have 5 color options or you can go through Amazon and they have 8 color options.

Amazon has almost all their potties for $18.89 (gray, pink, orange, blue, and green) The red and turquoise are $22.78 while the white one is $20.96 and all of them qualify for Prime shipping or free shipping over $35.

With Target, if you have a RED card, you get 5% off and free shipping. Blue, green, and pink are currently on sale for $18.89 They are price matching Target and this is a new sale, but I'm not sure how long it will last for. Gray is $20.99 and turquoise is $28.79 on sale from $31.99

Either way, you'll end up paying less than retail, which is all that matters. I'm excited to potty train Ava but I feel like girls are way different than boys...we shall see!

Kohl's home sale

I can't say it enough, I love Kohl's. Maybe it's because it's one of the only places in my small town or maybe it's because they always have some sort of promo or deal going on, either way I shop there frequently. This morning in my email, I saw they are running a promo for 20% off anything and you can stack that promo with $15 off your purchase of $50 in their home department. Use code YES20 for the 20% off and code HOME15 for the $15 off. Another great thing? They're doing Kohl's cash again so for every $50 you spend, you get $10 in Kohl's cash. And another bonus is their Yes2You rewards which gives you 1 point for every dollar spent, and for every 100 points you get $5 in rewards.

Right now I'm trying to actually decorate the house so seeing that was perfect. I love their selection for home decor and they have quite a few great bedding sets that are pretty Anthropologie-esque. I'm definitely going there tonight to pick up some stuff! Here are some of my favorites:

LC Lauren Conrad Chloe bedding
Artisan Weaver shibori pouflife + style coralSonoma storage ottomanStratton burst wall decor
Shark NV501 3 in 1 vacuum

You can get the Shark vacuum above for just under $200, the Shark Rocket Professional Vacuum for $165, or this Dyson for just about $230 (it retails for $449.99)

For the mamas

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

From top left: Sweater, sale price $18.80, Peasant dress, sale price $20, Hi rise jeggings, sale price $20, Striped tote bag, sale price $14, Indigo jeggings, sale price $16
Sometimes when I think of American Eagle, I think of high school, and at 26 I don't quite want to have that describe my style. However, American Eagle has totally stepped up their game when it comes to clothes and quite frequently I see stuff that I actually love. As a mom, I really love their jeggings, because they're comfortable and they look good. A lot of their stuff comes in black, which is my favorite color to wear, so it's perfect when I see that their clearance is marked an additional 60% off. No codes needed, you'll see the extra sale price reflected in your cart at checkout. The discount offer is also combinable with other discounts, which is totally awesome. They also have non clearance jeans/jeggings buy one get one 50% off in case your size gets sold out in clearance. Sizes are going fast!

Thanks to my friend Jessika for telling me about this last night...Urban Outfitters has $15 off your purchase of $75 with no minimum free shipping. That means you can get Birkenstocks for $85! Some of my other favorites are these Jeffrey Campbell wedges, the zip front moto bag from Silence + Noise (I own it in red and love it), and this compass print. This promo is good until today so make sure you check it out!

Kate Spade sunglasses, Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet, House of Harlow earrings and bracelet, From St. Xavier clutch, and the coolest Converse sneakers
Piperlime is officially closing. I believe I read that it will be happening in April, which is a shame! Yesterday, I quickly shared with some friends that Piperlime had a deal for 25% off all regular priced items, which expired last night. Today though they have 30% off one regular priced item when you sign up for their mailing list. It's totally worth it!

If you can find something you like, in your size, in their final sale category, use code STOCKUP for an additional 60% off. I found 3 pairs of boots (Lucky Brand, Seychelles, and Steve Madden) for under $200 all together and a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses for $37!

*Don't forget to sign up for Ebates because American Eagle has 2% cash back and Piperlime has 7% cash back

20% plus more off Clarisonic Mia 2 + cleansers//brush heads

Sunday, January 25, 2015
A few ladies I know have been raving about the Clarisonic Mia so, of course, I decided I needed one as well. I have combination skin that's prone to break outs around my period, it's totally annoying. My pores also suck...I feel like Regina George. (See picture below)

This morning I found a pretty good deal on a few colors of the Clarisonic Mia 2 and I jumped on it. I now have the lavender one coming my way, with free shipping. I only paid $119.99, which is just about 20% off. I haven't seen anything below this price, and almost every store coupon I've come across doesn't apply to Clarisonic brand so I think this is a great deal from what's offered currently. I'm really hoping I love it, and it's worth the hype! Will you be buying one from this deal?

You can get lavender and pink for $119.99 or sea breeze and white for only $114.99

The Clarisonic Mia 2 Men's in gray is on sale for $119.99 instead of $150

They also have quite a few Clarisonic cleansers on sale as well as some brush heads. The Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head is $14.99, the Deep Pore Cleanser is originally $27 but on sale for $16.99, and the Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser is only $20.99

Like I said, this is in addition to free standard shipping, and I was not charged tax. Bonus: You are able to pay with PayPal!

Taking it back to Christmas

Fisher Price Mustang

I have been meaning to share these pictures, back from Christmas day, of the munchkins enjoying Braxton's Christmas present I blogged about here. We got lucky and had our first non white Christmas so we could go outside and actually let them ride around in it. Braxton was a natural and Ava loved it! Here's a tip though...don't forget to charge the battery with plenty of time haha I was totally on top of it getting built (I supervised Brian, obviously) but at 6 pm Christmas Eve, I realized we forgot all about the battery...that needs to charge for at least 18 hours the first time. Instead of them getting to ride it at 7 am, which was when they woke up, we took it out after lunch around noon.  Luckily they didn't know much of a difference.

Since I bought the Mustang at Kohl's, and because I bought it on Cyber Monday, I got the $75 in Kohl's cash which came in handy for extra Christmas presents. I got Brian some great pajama pants, the kids got a few little toys from there, and more. I also got their Yes2You Rewards which totaled $10. I'm currently waiting for my Big Fat Check from Ebates that is over $100 just from doing online shopping in November/December. Using the Ibotta app on this purchase gave me $10, and in December alone I got $30 back from them that I used towards more presents. I love the whole idea of "it pays to shop".

Hunter boots deal + Anthropologie sale

Thursday, January 15, 2015
So I'm still on the hunt for a pair of Hunter boots on sale since I somehow didn't take my own advice and purchase the ones that I posted about on Cyber Monday. (Seriously, it was SUCH a good deal) I'm kind of thinking of asking for a pair for Valentine's Day...I mean a pair of boots for Valentine's Day can be romantic, right? I just found a deal on a couple of colors for women and quite a few colors for toddlers/kids...

Hunter Original Stripe in Bright Coral and Yellow for just $88. That's 45% off and they have all sorts of sizes! How perfect would coral be for Spring and Summer coming up?!

The same site also has Hunter kid's boots with contrast soles like these in cobalt, or bright coral, or even dark chocolate for only $35.75!

On a different site, I found a pair of the Hunter Original Tall boots in neon purple for only $99 in sizes 5-10.

Did you also know that Anthropologie currently has an extra 40% off of their sale items currently? Yeah, all you have to do is enter code EXTRAEXTRA You don't see a sale like that often from them. Hurry though because stuff is going fast! I wanted to post about it yesterday but I was so busy with the kids...here are a couple of my favorites

Geode Sequin Pouch, these earringsGee Wawa saddle boots, and who doesn't want a set of antlers to hang on the wall? Those prices are all BEFORE the extra 40% off!

Let me know if you snag anything! You can even buy it for yourself for Valentine's Day, because why not?

A Jenny Lind toddler bed for only $99?!

Sunday, January 11, 2015
So I've had my eye on the Jenny Lind toddler bed from Land of Nod for ages now. One reason why I haven't bought it? It's $399.99....for a TODDLER BED. Ouch. Tonight I finally talked my husband into letting me get a second toddler bed for Ava so we can keep Braxton's old one in the play room. I looked at Walmart and after going through about a page, I found it....the Jenny Lind bed. On sale. For less than $100. What?! Yeah...well, needless to say I bought it. In pink. Because obviously. You can buy it too, here. You're welcome!

Decals: Urban Walls  Print: The Printed Palette
Bunny: Dainty Cheeks Boutique
Shipping was really fast! I ordered on a Monday and it came the next day. My husband set it up, and it was relatively easy. The quality is good, especially for under $100. I definitely wasn't disappointed in it at all once it was put together. It took Ava about a day to love the idea of sleeping in a big girl bed but she transitioned so well! Now that the crib is gone I need to pick up some more gold polka dot decals and we definitely need a new rug but I love her little room so much, especially with this bed.

Happy Blog-iversary // Giveaway

Wednesday, January 7, 2015
So I've been doing this blog for a year now! Sure, I took a hiatus, and I've changed things up a little bit, but this is still a big deal for me. I think with blogging, being able to find your niche and your voice takes time, and while I'm still working on fine tuning everything I'm proud of what I've done so far. Because of this blog, and social media, I have been able to meet so many different people that I enjoy. I've been able to speak out about Braxton's speech delay and it made me realize that it's good to get it out there. I still love talking to other moms that have children with speech delay. It's nice to know that there are others who feel the same way I do from time to time!

Another thing that I have loved about blogging is being able to share my favorite things with everyone else. So many things and so many shops! I have a bit of a shopping problem so of course this is the perfect place to put it out there. One thing recently that I bought, and love, for myself is a scarf from Think Pink Bows. I came across them from buying loads, and loads, of headbands for Ava from them off of their Etsy page. They always run really good deals, which I love, and they have some super cute stuff. (The chiffon bows are my absolute favorite to put Ava in!) When I saw on their website that they had infinity scarves, I jumped at the opportunity to buy one. It's freaking cold here. As in last night it was 9 degrees and the windchill made it feel like -7 outside. Ugh, the joys of living in the Northeast.......

I bought the Aztec plum infinitely scarf because it just so happens to match my plum hair. It's actually thick enough where it's not just for show and it keeps me warm! I pretty much want to buy every single one they have available but that might be a little overkill haha What I can do though is give away one infinitely scarf to one of you guys! I figured that I'm always doing giveaways for the little ones, why not do one for the mamas out there!

All you have to do is go here, pick the color of scarf you love the most, and then leave a comment right here, or on my Instagram, telling me which color you want the most! Giveaway starts today and will end on Wednesday, the 14th! I'll be announcing a winner on Thursday...good luck!

*Giveaway is now CLOSED, winner has been announced*
