Lord and Taylor three day sale

Saturday, February 28, 2015
If you check out Lord and Taylor, they currently have a sale going until March 2nd that gets you an additional 25% off clearance and 20% off sale as well as regular priced items. Use code FASHION at checkout and if you spend $99, you qualify for free shipping.

Searching through the clearance last night I found so much good stuff. The thing that I love about these mid season sales is that you can find quality stuff to save for next year (winter clothes and boots) and you can also find great deals on stuff for the upcoming season. I actually found quite a few pairs of sandals for really great prices. If you haven't noticed, I post a lot about shoes....I have a problem. Here are some of my favorites....

MIA peep toe sandal, Michael Michael Kors Jayden sandalDV by Dolce Vita thong sandalJessica Simpson leather ankle sandal

There are looooooads of women's sandals, wedges, heels, as well as some awesome boots for next fall/winter. If you're in the market for some toddler/preschool boys' clothes they have some really good stuff, but the options for girls aren't really there. It seems as if it's already been picked through from previous sales. I hope you find something you like!

Faux Sheepskin Rugs for 20% off

Friday, February 27, 2015
Now that Ava has her new big girl bed, I have been looking for a new rug for her room. I love the look of sheepskin rugs so I've been keeping my eye out on something similar for a good price. The other day I came across this 5x8 white faux sheepskin rug for only $119.00, it's originally $150. I'm iffy with impulsively buying most things without reviews but this rug has over 650 reviews and it holds up to 4.5 stars, which is amazing!

This rug comes in 12 different colors as well as multiple sizes. No code is necessary for the sale and it qualifies for free shipping. If you want, you can also use Ebates and get 1% cash back...at least it's something! This sale lasts until March 4th so make sure you check it out!

I did not order a pad to go under the rug just yet, I'm waiting to see how thick it is first. I'm a little nervous for Ava to have a white rug but we'll see how it goes. I think she'll love the feel of it. Okay, and maybe I can't wait to take some pictures of her on it too...how fabulous does it look?!

Fisher Price Space Saver Highchair

Wednesday, February 25, 2015
I seriously love this chair! With Braxton, we had a big high chair with wheels that was just fine, but it was bulky and took up so much space that we didn't really have. When it was time to put Ava in a high chair I knew we needed something different and that's when I came across this chair from Fisher Price. It's easy to use, takes up little space, and it's a breeze to clean. (The material they use is stain resistant and all you have to do is wipe it down!) Oh, and it's easy to take with you, if you need. We usually will bring this with us to my in laws for dinners and whatnot.

For the retail price of $59.99 it's pretty affordable considering other options but right now you can get two versions for only $41.39 or $41.99 with free Prime shipping on Amazon right now.

If you want to use Ebates and get 4.5% cash back, you can go to Walmart and get the Mocha Butterfly high chair for the same price. Shipping is free over $50 on their website.

Piperlime has 30% off select styles until the 17th using code WINNING

Amazon has 20% off women's, men's, and children's clothing using code 20PRES15 and 25% off shoes and handbags using code 25OFFPRES

ASOS has 20% off full priced items using code PREZDAY20

Ulta has 20% off one item using code 200119

Gap has 40% off using code WINTER

Carter's has 50% off everything, with an extra 25% off orders of $50 or more using code BIG SALE or 15% off orders less than $50 using code SAVENOW. Their clearance is an additional 25% off as well! I found the cutest little Easter dress for Ava for under $20.

This last one isn't a President's Day sale but it's worth mentioning. Country Attire has Hunter boots on sale, and while it's a UK company, they offer free international shipping. I finally caved and bought a pair of black ones for a total of $110...they should be here next week!

President's Day sales on some play shoes

Sunday, February 15, 2015
Any holiday is an excuse for a sale and I have been checking out deals to post for a few days now. While President's Day sales aren't out of this world, you can find some good deals on stuff if you really search or get lucky.

Shoes.com is having an awesome sale on shoes that don't even need a discount code. There's also a discount code for 15% off anything that's not included in that sale. Use code SHOES15. They have free shipping as well as 4% cash back from Ebates so it's hard to pass up.

I have an obsession with wedges so when I saw thesethese, and these I basically jumped at the opportunity to get them. The thing that I like about shoes.com is their selection of Vans. I have loved Vans for over 10 years now, and they're one of my favorite brands of shoes to put the kids in. I wear my Vans with everything!

Men's: $24.99, Women's: $24.99, Preschool Boy's: $20.80*, Toddler Girl's: $24.99

*Preschool Boy's price after 15% off.

Lord & Taylor has 20% off using code PRESIDENT however, like most stores, the exclusions are never ending. You can't use the code on higher end brands, beauty items, etc. I know Crocs for kids aren't for everyone, but for $2.39 they're hard to pass up. I love Crocs for going to the pool, or beach, and even playing in the sandbox. They're also perfect for keeping in the car for just in case. There are boy's CrocodileShark,  and Two-Tone on sale for $2.99 as well as 2 colors of the girl's Two-Tone Crocs and after using the discount code it drops down to $2.39

If you have ShopRunner, which I do, you get free 2 day shipping no matter how much you spend but Lord & Taylor offers free shipping on orders of $100 or beauty orders of $49. Ebates is also offering 6% cash back currently.

While it's not included in the 20% off sale, you can get 2 colors of the Clarisonic Mia 2 (pink and white) for $119, with free shipping, and 3 free samples of fragrances from Lord & Taylor. That's the same price as the sale I posted here

I'll be posting more President's Day deals as I come across some good ones so keep an eye out!

Freshly Picked review

Friday, February 13, 2015
Skirt: Tiny Tot Threads, Bag: Target, Moccs: Freshly Picked, Headband: Little Miss Athena
I've been a fan of Freshly Picked for almost 2 years now. I remember when I first came across them on Instagram and how I loved the idea of trendy moccasins for little ones. When Braxton was a baby, we used shoes that were kind of like moccasins but they weren't half as stylish as Freshly Picked. With Ava though, I knew she needed allllll the moccasins in all the girly colors!

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $60 on baby shoes so I went with a cheaper brand of moccasin and honestly, they sucked. When our first pair of Freshly Picked moccs came in the mail, I instantly could tell why they were priced that way. They're American made, the look was perfected, the leather was buttery soft but sturdy, and the color was beautiful. I'll forever think of Freshly Picked's Platinum color as my favorite, since those were Ava's first.

Over the past year we have owned Platinum, Frosted Rose, Rasberry, Merci, and now we have Blush*! Blush is truly the perfect shade of light pink. I wanted a color that could go well with everything and I'm not disappointed in the least bit with my choice. I think my favorite look of hers with these moccs will be a pair of printed leggings, her aquamarine Jolly Siren shirt, denim jacket, and a light pink headband.

The quality of these moccs haven't changed, which sometimes happens when you deal with handmade items. I love that these are a thick leather because now that Ava is exploring EVERYWHERE, I want her feet protected. Even though they're thick, they're still breathable, which will be nice once the weather gets warmer.

With sizing I like to go a little bigger so they have room to grow. They have an easy sizing chart that you can use so it takes all the guessing out of it. Ava fits comfortably in a size 4 for now, and she's 20 months old. She has a little bit of a chubby foot, considering her cute chubby ankles, but with the elastic on the moccs it doesn't matter. She can't get them off easily either which is a lifesaver for me because with other shoes as soon as she's in the car she instantly takes them off.

Yes, it may seem like a bunch of stuff, but we don't go crazy overboard for the kids day to day so I love doing something special for them on holidays. As a general rule, I like to give them stuff they can use day to day or a fun experience (gift cards to the movies, to get frozen yogurt, to the bowling alley, all sorts of things to do) rather than toys.
I'm so excited to share a pair of Freshly Picked moccs with one of you and I can't wait to pick winners tomorrow. I love all the shops that are part of this giveaway so much that I don't think a single person will be disappointed in their prize. Good luck everyone!

*We got our Blush moccs c/o Freshly Picked for this review. All opinions are my own, and I stand behind everything I review.

Crayola on sale

Finger PaintMarker Color CanTwistable Pencil Crayons Color CanCreative Color and Paint Kit

Amazon currently has a few good deals on Crayola which will stock you up for the rest of the winter. From December until about April is when we do the most crafts because we're stuck inside so much...thanks to this never-ending snow! Easter is coming up as well and I love putting Crayola stuff in their Easter baskets.

Here's some of what you can get...

64 Count Crayons for $2.89 , Frozen Color Wonder Activity Gift Set on sale for $12.99 compared to $21.96, 72 Count Chalk Set for $10.19, and the Crayola Paint Maker that's originally $24.99 on sale for only $8!

Everything is either eligible for Prime shipping or free shipping on orders of $35.

There's really so much to look through and some really good prices on stuff! Another thing that I like to do is stock up when stuff like this is on sale and then once back to school time comes around, I will give some extra stuff to the teachers. I even make them gift baskets for Christmas and other holidays with supplies they may need because we all know a lot of supplies come out of their pocket.

Valentine's Day with Freshly Picked Moccasins + Giveaway

Freshly Picked moccasin giveaway February 2015

I love Valentine's Day. It has always been one of those days that is special to me. Growing up, no matter what, I always could rely on my mom to be my Valentine. She would always do something special for me which is probably why I like to do the same for my little ones now.

I always make Braxton and Ava little Valentine's gift bags. I found the bags at Target (who doesn't love their dollar spot?) and they're felt which is super cute. For Ava's, she's getting a pair of moccasins in Blush from Freshly Picked* and that super cute skirt pictured up there from Tiny Tot Threads. We don't really do candy with her but I'm going to toss in an applesauce cup, which she loves. I may be a sucker and buy her a new little doll...even though she just got one the other day haha Braxton's bag will be filled with a shirt from Jolly Good Apparel, a gift card to the movies, a thing of popcorn, and a puppy dog lollipop made out of chocolate. Later that night we will get to count with our Romeo & Juliet book by BabyLit and I'll get to unwind with a nice chocolate peppermint sugar scrub from Beach Organics

Basically what I'm trying to say is "these are a few of my favorite things..." and I wanted to share my favorite things with everyone else so it's giveaway time! Usually when I do giveaways I do one big winner but I thought this time I could split it up and make it even more fun. Also, I wanted to make sure this giveaway was more gender neutral, and that it works for everyone, considering my last big giveaway was all for the little ladies. So...5 winners, 5 different prizes! Each winner will be picked randomly via Rafflecopter and I will then pick which prize they won. I will be announcing the winners on Valentine's Day. Think of it as my Valentine to you!

Prizes:
One pair of Freshly Picked moccasins
Tiny Tot Thread's Nightfall skirt
One shirt from Jolly Good Apparel
Beach Organic's Chocolate Peppermint Sugar Scrub Organic Deodorant
One book from BabyLit
