Technical difficulties today

Monday, November 30, 2015
So of course, today's the day that I'm having wifi issues at home. I'm working on fixing it but in the meantime, if you're looking for deals, head over to my Facebook page because I'm posting over there. Happy Cyber Monday!

Disney Princess My First Toddler Deal

Wednesday, November 25, 2015
Remember how I said everywhere's starting Black Friday early? Well, Kohl's has rolled out their $15 Kohl's Cash offer for online orders already and they also have some Black Friday doorbuster deals with toys. Because of that, I found a few extra things for the kids.

One of the best finds was this Merida doll for only $13.20 and that was before the additional 15% off coupon that I had (AMAZING15 is the code)

Kohl's also has a few other My First Toddler Princess Dolls, all at pretty great prices. Don't forget to use Ebates* because they currently have 6% cash back with Kohl's and make sure you're signed up for Kohl's Yes2You Rewards

What to Look for Coming Up on Black Friday

Tuesday, November 24, 2015
This past week I have seen countless emails with BLACK FRIDAY STARTS NOW and honestly, from what I can tell, Black Friday may be losing it's charm...just a little bit.

Old Navy and Gap both rolled out their 40% off and 50% off for cardholders sale days ago. Normally it's 50% off for everyone in store on Black Friday and 40% off online so there's not much of a significance in shopping now or later.

Carter's currently has 50% off from the 20th until the 25th.  On Thanksgiving and then Black Friday, everything in the store will be 60% off with an in store only coupon of 20% off of $40. I usually will go to Carter's at some point in the day to snag some pajamas for the kids because the price and quality are pretty great.

Kohl's will be opening at 6 pm on Thanksgiving so that's a little annoying. As usual, they will be doing their Kohl's Cash offer where you can get $15 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend (normally it's $10 for every $50) Toys will be 50% off, and they actually have some great toys. KitchenAid mixers are at times a good buy around this time considering what you can get in Kohl's Cash. (Watch out for Cyber Monday at Kohl's as well because this will always be my personal favorite buy)

Macy's and other bigger chain stores will also have competing prices for KitchenAid, Keurig, etc.

If you're looking for Hunter boots, Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be the time to find them. Keep an eye out for what Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus will have and also Hunter's website itself usually offers a color specific boot for a great deal.

Target will have some decent deals on toys, as well as some holiday deals, but the thing I'm most excited about is their deal they have happening on Saturday. We need to buy new lights for our tree this year because our basement flooded early this past year and that ruined an entire box of our Christmas stuff...including our lights. I always love buying new wrapping paper there because the prints are lovely and I totally have one of their tree skirts on my want list so the $50 off of $100 purchase is perfect!

Personally, I am looking more forward to Small Business Saturday to support the local shops here as
well as the awesome handmade shops I follow on Instagram. Of course, Cyber Monday will be great too, and I have a feeling it'll be better than the deals you'll find on Thursday/Friday. Bonus points for being able to sit at home, in your pajamas, and shop at your leisure.

What are you looking forward to buying this coming week?!

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies Pt 4

Friday, November 13, 2015
Bouncing off of my first ladies gift ideas, here's more beauty stuff, but this time from Ulta. There are things I prefer to buy from Sephora sometimes but there are so many things I love to get from Ulta. They always offer some sort of coupon, which usually excludes prestige beauty, and their prices are pretty great. I tried to include something for every price point, and still keep it at a decent budget.

First, I have to say that that Anastasia Beverly Hills eye palette is not nearly appreciated as it should be. I mean you constantly hear about the Urban Decay palettes but look at the colors on this one! Comparing the $35 price tag to some UD ones, it's basically a steal. It is most definitely on my personal wish list. As is both mini perfumes. I actually hate buying full size perfumes because it takes me forever to use the entire bottle, and I get tired of scents easily at times, so the pen sprays that Ulta offers are my favorite. Rollerballs are cool but pen sprays are even better. I always love Marc Jacobs Daisy but I've really been intrigued by the Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. They also make an original Opium scent that my mom has been using for 30+ years so I think it would be cool to have the next version.

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies Pt 3

Thursday, November 12, 2015
I really, really love what Macy's has out right now for their Martha Stewart and kate spade collections and for some reason, I'm really loving polka dots currently. Now that our kitchen is about 85% done (yes, it's still not completely done) I've been picking up pieces here and there to add to the newness of it. Basically our whole house is done in all blues and grays, except the kitchen. I've always loved hints of red in the kitchen. I kind of have an eclectic taste when it comes to decorating but I also like mixing the eclectic with modern/preppy. Right now I currently have a beautiful red southwestern accent rug in there from Six and Grand mixed in with some Courtly Check enamelware items from MacKenzie-Childs. (This tea kettle is probably my favorite piece and I don't even use it for tea haha)

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies - Kitchen Edition

I have picked up pretty much every piece of the kate spade all in good taste collection while shopping inside Macy's and put it back. Not because I think it's not worth it or anything but I feel like they're perfect pieces to gift to someone or be given yourself as a gift. I just can't seem to buy it for myself! Those mixing bowls have definitely been in my thoughts for a couple of months now.

Another great kate spade piece I think everyone could love would be the thermal tumbler with straw (and 2 of those are even marked on sale). Put a Starbucks gift card inside with some chocolate and a great lip balm or lipstick and ta-da! perfect secret santa gift, on a budget! (Speaking of lipstick on a budget, Lip Tar is currently half off)

Star Wars Goodies on Sale

For the next 2 days, Zulily has a Star Wars event happening. There are so so so many awesome things in the event. Star Wars fever is real and I don't see it going anywhere, anytime soon. There's something for the kiddos just getting into it as well as stuff for the older generations who grew up on it. If you don't have an account with them, you can sign up using my referral link

One order with paid standard shipping gives you free shipping with more orders the rest of the day. (It may sound silly but sometimes stuff has a high sell out risk so if you're worried about missing out on an item but still want to browse/buy other stuff, it's an awesome feature. Buy the high sell out risk item, pay shipping for that, and then buy whatever else you want at your leisure.)

We're big fans of new books to read and I love that there are so many Star Wars options out there. We already own the color version of the board books I listed and they're pretty legit. The pictures are 100% realistic and it's a great quality book.

Maybe the kids wouldn't be too excited finding school workbooks as a Christmas present but I think the Star Wars ones could make it fun, for everyone involved, especially for only $16.99 each.

Is now the time where I throw a cheesy "May the force be with you" plug, wishing you good luck in your shopping? I hope you find all sorts of goodies to fill those stockings and to put under the tree!

Christmas Gifts Pt 4

Wednesday, November 11, 2015
Here are some cute additions to those kitchens you're probably already buying for Christmas. You can't go wrong with an awesome apron!

Christmas Gifts for the Kids Pt 3

Okay, this one's a splurge. Pottery Barn Kids' Kitchens are pricey but they're oh so pretty. You can buy them in sets, which are currently on sale, but you can also buy individual pieces.

Now, for the more affordable things, kitchen accessories...

There are also some great wooden sets like their wooden milk container set and wooden egg set. Or you can grab their metal baking set or their kitchen tools set for a pretty great price.

I have been going back and forth this year on if I get Ava a tea party set and after seeing the ones Pottery Barn had, I instantly decided on a big yes. The detail on the white carved flower set is to die for. I also really like the idea of the Green Toys tea set, for obvious reasons. I think both Braxton and Ava would have so much fun having a tea party together. They already cheers each other whenever they drink something, now I just need to add a fancy tea pot and cups to the mix.

Yesterday, Pottery Barn was offering free shipping on everything, excluding furniture but with the holidays coming up, I'm sure that offer will be back. If you sign up for their emails, you can get their sales alerts and also you can get 15% off your first purchase.

Veteran's Day Sale at 6pm.com

I woke up this morning to an email from 6pm with their Veteran's Day sale and I figured I would browse, not expecting to find much, but unfortunately for my bank account, I found a bit. They're doing a 11+11=$22 sale so they have TONS of stuff for $22 or less, and an additional 10% off using code SURPRISE10.

You know how sometimes good sales are for things from previous seasons? Like summer clothes on sale during the winter? Well, in this case, I found some MUK LUKS that are totally awesome, and a great gift option for the holiday season. Or, you can just treat yourself, like I did with the awesome ones in the middle. Hello house slippers!

With the 10% off code, you can get all of these for under $20!

Other things in their $22 sale:
Oh, and another bonus is shipping is free!

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies Pt 2

Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Alright, moooooore gifts! I wanted to do something besides beauty stuff for this post so it's a mishmash of lovely things. Once again, I tried to do different price points for everyone. I feel like I'm in the Sound of Music, talking about a few of my favorite things. Cue the song now...

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies

Lush's wrapped gifts can work for pretty much every occasion and you'll find something for basically everyone. I've posted the Sweet Nothing necklaces before in my Monday's Obsessions and I still love them. (I also love this BFF necklace set) I'm a huge huge huge fan of American Eagle's socks. They're warm and all the patterns are pretty cool and I highly doubt anyone would be bummed to open them on Christmas because they aren't the typical lame socks. Also, they're almost always buy one, get one half off so woo hoo! I'm a total blanket hoarder and how awesome would a heated throw be in the cold, cold winter?! (That buffalo plaid is too good) Also, I totally love the look of the cable knit throw. BUY ALL THE THROW BLANKETS!  Also, buy all the s'mores kits because how delectable does that one look? They also make fancy dipped marshmallows and hot chocolate

Christmas Gifts for the Ladies

I'm going to start rolling out some gift ideas for the ladies now. This post has some favorites from Sephora. One thing I love the most about Sephora are their sets, especially come Christmas time, because even if you don't know exactly what the person would want, you can give them a sampler and it's the best of both worlds. They don't break the bank and you're buying quality stuff.

Some of these sets are great stocking stuffers and also the perfect addition to a secret santa gift. There are price points for everything and I tried to pick some that I thought everyone would like.

With the perfume samplers, a voucher is included where they can exchange the voucher for either a free full size roller ball or free full size featured fragrance. Perfume is a popular gift so why not gift them the choice of something rather than something specific they may not like? I love the idea of the Urban Decay duo because you can gift two people for the price of one.

Hey Yoga Friends, This Mat is for You

Monday, November 9, 2015

Hellooooo Anthropologie! Here's a deal for you, if you love amazing, beautiful looking yoga mats. I'm so drooling over this Magic Carpet Yoga Mat that's marked down from $98 to only $14.95!!

I don't even do yoga and I need this mat. I'm struggling to go ahead and buy this, just to buy it, but then I also am trying to do better with the whole spending thing...

Shipping with Anthropologie goes by order values, so for orders under $50, you'll pay $6.95 so still, the yoga mat is insanely cheap. The reviews seem pretty great so GET ON IT!

Just because, here's an Adidas by Stella McCartney gym bag on sale as well.

Gap's Friends and Family Sale Extended

Anyone remember where I said that Gap wasn't impressing me much with their kids' clothes? Well, their upcoming holiday pajamas have blown me away. I seriously want to buy all of them, especially the girl pajamas (how cute is this sleep set?!) It's not often that you can get their sleepwear on sale but with the extension of the friends and family sale, sleepwear is included since there are no exclusions to the 40% off. You can use code FFBEST and shipping is free with orders over $50!

Ppsstt! Ebates has 6% cash back at Gap right now!

Melissa & Doug Buy 1, Get 1 Half Off

So, today only, Target has Melissa & Doug toys buy one, get one 50% off.

Fine print says:

Christmas Gifts for the Kids Pt 2

Friday, November 6, 2015

Okay! So prices...

The Crayola kit seems like so much fun and the $25.99 price is really good. I saw the Kohl's Black Friday ad that leaked and they have it listed for $24.99 so it's up to you basically.

Last week I scooped up the Melissa and Doug mop and broom set for $14.99 at AC Moore. It was on sale for $19.99 and then I had a 25% off promo code that brought it down more. Now, the $25.49 price is okay (it was actually $29.99 just yesterday) but you can get it cheaper. You can save 10% if you use their wish list app and an additional 5% if you use their REDcard. This is one of those things you should keep your eye on.

The Magformers are pretty cool for everyone. Yes, they're pricey, but overlook that if you can. If you shop at Kohl's, you can use some promo codes to get them cheaper than the $209, but if not, there's also a decent price at Overstock

We love Kinetic Sand. We were given the sandbox set as a gift a couple of years ago and it definitely gets played with. It feels so weird in your hands, but in a good way. The $11.99 price is good. Like really good. Definitely jump on that!

The B. doctor set is another gift we were given that we love. It's one of those gifts that the kids still play with, which says something considering my two. Once again, the price is pretty good so buy now, buy later, I don't see too much of a difference.

Christmas Gifts for the Kids

Thursday, November 5, 2015
I'm going to start rolling out some Christmas gift ideas now that everyone's in the holiday spirit. (Already?!?!) We mostly try to focus on experiences, rather than lots of material gifts, but still the kids end up with too many presents. I like to find things that both Braxton and Ava can use together. I don't really stress the whole gender specific thing. Sure, I buy Braxton some Star Wars things and Ava gets Cinderella stuff but that's because they're specifically into those things. Kitchens, shopping carts, train tables, etc. are all gender neutral to us though!

Okay, as for those prices, let's talk.

The KidKraft kitchen price is pretty good. I think if you were to find a price lower come Black Friday, it won't be that much different, and you have a better chance of them selling out around then since everyone's obsessed with these kitchens.

The price on the Melissa and Doug shopping cart is pretty good but it isn't the best currently. Going into my local AC Moore (which is a craft store like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.) they have these carts, and they always run 50% off coupons that you can use towards that.

The Happy Trails rocking horse price is pretty decent I think. Amazon also has all of these to go along with the one I posted. You can also find a pretty pegasus for not much more.

$45 is a good price for the PlasmaCar but you may be able to find one cheaper around Black Friday. The PlasmaCar is also sold at Kohl's and they always have promos running. Their cheapest one is currently $62 but starting tomorrow, they will be offering a $10 off $25 purchase, plus 20% off, that you can stack.

Land of Nod - Some Favorites + Some Sales

So this post is going to be a little bit of a jumble, so bear with me. I wanted to share some of my Land of Nod favorites but I also wanted to highlight some of their stuff on sale. First off, if you haven't already, sign up for their emails because you can get 10% off your first purchase. Second, right now they are offering $4.95 all you can ship shipping. As in you can buy toy boxes, benches, play chairs and tables, bedding, play houses, bean bags, and on and on for their flat rate shipping price.

Until Monday, they have all their playhouses 20% off, which is a once a year event. It's a great opportunity to buy their teepees, which I know people are starting to look for now that Christmas is getting closer. The 20% off makes them $127.20 and they're included in the flat rate shipping deal.

I also really love their canopies. They're all so gorgeous. My favorites are the girly ones, of course. You can get the pink ombre for $127.20 or you can do the pink ombre with cushion for $159.20 The butterfly canopy and cushion set is $183.20 compared to $229.

Their giant plush bot is on sale for $99.97 instead of $249 and it measures just over 3 feet. You can snag their tot bowling set that's usually $59 for $24.97. For $100, the dress up changing screen is the perfect addition to any kid's playroom, as is the kitchenette, which is on sale for $200.

When I saw these floor bins were marked down to only $9.97 a piece compared to $49 each, I instantly carted the black and white ones. (The round ones are $19.97) I love the simple look of the little handcrafted bird cage, which will cost you $20 compared to almost $50. Their aviary rounded wire pendant lamp is only $45 and that gorgeous pink ruffled bedding is now $150.

You can gift the kids some cool plush instruments to start a band, all while your sanity is saved because they aren't obnoxiously loud musical instruments haha The cymbals and boom box are marked down to $14.97, the really cool looking accordion is $39.97, and the record player is just under $20.

Okay, so now I'm going to be mixing in some non sale favorites.

The plush tea party set is so adorable and kind of eclectic. Their giant stuffed camel would look so cute in the playroom and it's on sale for $49.97. I think any kid would love an electric guitar.  Wooden alphabet blocks that are well made are so nice to have and the look of these are cool and different.

Keeping up on the music theme, these drums could be the coolest Christmas present ever sitting in front of the tree, or even this acoustic guitar, that's on sale for just under $40. I'm in the market for new shelves for the kids' rooms and I love this gold shelf for Ava's room and the honeycomb shelf for Braxton's.

I think I love all of their Christmas decor because it's all so different. The milk & cookies ornaments are adorable and totally something I would put on my tree. I love love love felt garlands and for $20, it's a pretty good price when you think of how much some shops typically charge. Normally I mix up garlands and this holiday lights garland would be a good addition to any kind of decor. The look of these nightfall ornaments are gorgeous and they're definitely on my wish list.

Okay, okay, I'm done for now. But really, check out Land of Nod's stuff right now. It's all so good!
