What to Look for Coming Up on Black Friday

Tuesday, November 24, 2015
This past week I have seen countless emails with BLACK FRIDAY STARTS NOW and honestly, from what I can tell, Black Friday may be losing it's charm...just a little bit.

Old Navy and Gap both rolled out their 40% off and 50% off for cardholders sale days ago. Normally it's 50% off for everyone in store on Black Friday and 40% off online so there's not much of a significance in shopping now or later.

Carter's currently has 50% off from the 20th until the 25th.  On Thanksgiving and then Black Friday, everything in the store will be 60% off with an in store only coupon of 20% off of $40. I usually will go to Carter's at some point in the day to snag some pajamas for the kids because the price and quality are pretty great.

Kohl's will be opening at 6 pm on Thanksgiving so that's a little annoying. As usual, they will be doing their Kohl's Cash offer where you can get $15 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend (normally it's $10 for every $50) Toys will be 50% off, and they actually have some great toys. KitchenAid mixers are at times a good buy around this time considering what you can get in Kohl's Cash. (Watch out for Cyber Monday at Kohl's as well because this will always be my personal favorite buy)

Macy's and other bigger chain stores will also have competing prices for KitchenAid, Keurig, etc.

If you're looking for Hunter boots, Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be the time to find them. Keep an eye out for what Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus will have and also Hunter's website itself usually offers a color specific boot for a great deal.

Target will have some decent deals on toys, as well as some holiday deals, but the thing I'm most excited about is their deal they have happening on Saturday. We need to buy new lights for our tree this year because our basement flooded early this past year and that ruined an entire box of our Christmas stuff...including our lights. I always love buying new wrapping paper there because the prints are lovely and I totally have one of their tree skirts on my want list so the $50 off of $100 purchase is perfect!

Personally, I am looking more forward to Small Business Saturday to support the local shops here as
well as the awesome handmade shops I follow on Instagram. Of course, Cyber Monday will be great too, and I have a feeling it'll be better than the deals you'll find on Thursday/Friday. Bonus points for being able to sit at home, in your pajamas, and shop at your leisure.

What are you looking forward to buying this coming week?!
